Semi-Recent Horror Vieweings: 3/13
March 13, 2016

It's been a while since I've done one of these. Then again, I haven't had much time to write one up or watch many horror movies. For the most part, I've been devoting my free time to seeing if I can finish/win Alphabet Marathon. I had hoped to catch Last Shift and We Are Still Here (regardless of the harsh non-critic reviews it's been receiving), possibly even The Witch within the last few weeks, but all of my plans have fallen through. I did, however, watch:

Game Progress 3/1
March 01, 2016

I've put Clicker Heroes on hold. I'm gearing up for another ascension soon, but I've found another simple game that has caught my attention, which I'll be playing between sessions and such...

Brief Game Progress 2/25
February 25, 2016

Clicker Heroes- Ascended, building up, waiting to ascend again. I should be there soon.

Joe & Mac (NES)- Played through the game. Man alive, did it take more effort than it was worth. I plan to start the review for this tonight, and it's not going to fare to well. I would like to play the SNES version to see how it compares. The 8-bit edition is pretty rough. I would almost say "lazily made," except the graphics are quite good for an NES title.

Year Walk- Played through this as well. I found it to be one of those games that ends with a light shrug. On the bright side, it's a bit spooky. Unfortunately, the bulk of the campaign consists of chasing a key. Review forthcoming.

Legacy of the Wizard progress

I've breached Zone 600 in Clicker Heroes, so that's another milestone down. The last hero I leveled was Betty Clicker, bringing her to 2000. Dread Knight still gets a little love occasionally, but she's only up to level 650 or so. It's been a pain leveling her. I've debated pumping more money into Atlas, but as it is I've already got all of his skills paid for and that's good enough for now.

Game Progress: 2/18
February 18, 2016

It's been a few weeks since I last posted one of these. The reason is simple: I swore on the grave of some random stranger that I would beat Pid if it killed me. Well, that and I was working on reviews for White Mirror and X-Men: Wolverine's Rage, both of which are live.

Pid is a slog. Yeah, I beat it, but it took more effort than it should've. One review I read called it "harder than Super Meat Boy." No, it really isn't, but it is far less enjoyable. There are some neat and inventive stages, such as a playhouse from which you must exit without disrupting any of the dramas taking place. Sadly, though, the game suffers from an abundance of dull puzzles, wonky mechanics, and frustrating segments.

Game Progress 2/5
February 05, 2016

It's been a hectic week and only Clicker Heroes has kept me sane. I'm currently chopping up the boss in zone 200, trying to build up some cash so I can either advance or afford Dread Knight. You see, I hit a slump earlier this week where the cost of the next hero, Dread Knight, was astronomical in proportion to the amount of cash I was making. She costs around 10,000 "undecillion" gold (basically "ten-duodecillion" or 10,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 gold), and at a time when my cash amounted in the octillions. Hiring new heroes and activating their passive skills was, up to this point, the key to boosting your DPS. Since I couldn't afford the knight, I decided to level up my other heroes to see if there would be any significant increase in DPS. Prior to

Game Progress 1/24
January 24, 2016

I wish I could say I spent this week wiping out various entries from my backlog. Sadly, I invested most of my free time into either falling asleep or tweaking my now-live Brutal: Above the Claw review. Most of the games I played this week weren't even on my backlog, technically.
