About Me: Sorry, but I haven't yet shared the information about myself that would typically display here. Check back later to see if that changes, or if I instead choose to remain an enigma. |
No, this isn't a blatant advertisement for Gameroni. And that is the last time you'll ever see me post that disclaimer.
Since Gameroni hosts a wider range of material than reviews, it's given me a chance to try out some things in video game related writing that I've wanted to for a long time but never had a venue.
This is one of those things in which I break down a monster's design and influences and try to figure out where the inspiration comes from.
I'd love feedback, as I'd like to continue to develop the idea.
... until I read this idiotic quote from Will Wright:
We were very focused, if anything, on making a game for more casual players. Spore has more depth than, let’s say, The Sims did. But we looked at the Metacritic scores for Sims 2, which was around ninety, and something like Half-Life, which was ninety-seven, and we decided — quite a while back — that we would rather have the Metacritic and sales of Sims 2 than the Metacritic and sales of Half-Life.
Metroid meets Mega Man... yes? no? Clash of designs or an awesome idea... let me know what you think.
Vdieo Game Rendezvous- Mega Man and Metroid
On a separate note... I forgot to hit the "don't post to forum" button. Can someone help with that?
As a rule, I try not to advertise Gameroni posts here at HG, because... I don't know... it just seems rude...
But I was eager to discuss The Last Guardian more and the fact that we really know nothing about it.
Shouhld we be excited?
... and actually liked the article I found. I didn't read any others, though.
It's sarcastic and snarky and I think I hate the author... now don't you want to read it?
