	Kimi ga Nozomu Eien review (PC) Reviewed on January 28, 2005 Kimi ga Nozomu Eien really comes alive in the second half. While the prologue always stuck Takayuki with Haruka, you can match him up with any of seven girls here, although some — like Haruka's really cute little sister Akane — are a lot tougher to catch than others.	4.5/5
	Puyo Puyo CD review (TGCD) Reviewed on January 16, 2005 The Minions of Satan came to learn the customs of the PuyoPuyo, and used this knowledge to subjugate the pitiful little blobs by forming them into like-colored sequences of four or more. This was a great and vicious evil, for when the PuyoPuyo were connected in such a manner, they would EXPLODE into tiny, gelatinous bits.	3.5/5
	Legion review (TGCD) Reviewed on January 16, 2005 Legion's not cool at all. It sucks. And the depth of the developer's blunders amounts to a lot more than the vague cop-out synopsis, "it has good ideas but just isn't fun". Legion takes reasonable ideas and makes them look dumb.	1/5
	Bloody Roar review (PSX) Reviewed on January 11, 2005 Bloody Roar, a 3D fighter released during the modern glut of 3D fighters, relies on style over gameplay. I believe you can make the connection here. Fond memories of the title crop up every now and again, but when I yearn to play a PSX fighter, I find myself reaching for Soul Edge instead.	2/5
	Cotton Boomerang review (SAT) Reviewed on January 10, 2005 As you play the game and a vicious spitting flytrap smacks Appli down, Needle will zoom in and take her place, in King of Fighters fashion. If Needle bites it too, your third character will take the creepy critters on — all by herself!	4.5/5
	Ai Cho Aniki review (TGCD) Reviewed on January 09, 2005 If you've played Forgotten Worlds, you have some idea what Ai Cho Aniki is all about. Basically, I'm talking an airborne Contra, with multi-directional attacks and hand-to-hand combat . . . and naked bodybuilders.	3.5/5
	Sakura Tsuushin: ReMaking Memories review (SAT) Reviewed on January 06, 2005 The images — both characters and backgrounds — have been marinated in pungent hues of brown and red. I find such kwality to be inexcusable, considering the artistic excellence of Pia Carrot, Can Can Bunny Extra, High School Terra Story, Desire, and so on. Each of these games features colorful, stylish artwork — and each was released in the same year as Sakura Diaries, a game that exudes an aura of laziness.	1/5
	Pia Carrot e Youkoso!! review (SAT) Reviewed on January 06, 2005 This port of Cocktail Soft's famous title has a decidedly different feel from the PC-FX incarnation. The world is brighter, the facial features are more stylized, the breasts are bigger, and the game in general feels less like an emotional adventure, and more like the 'hentai' (pornographic) dating games that developer Cocktail Soft and publisher KID were known for.	4/5
	Steam Hearts review (TGCD) Reviewed on January 01, 2005 In a sea of shmups crammed with tricks, powerups, and gadgets to help wipe out the enemy, it takes a pretty damn strong hook to create lasting, vivid memories. Steam Hearts accomplishes this with ease.	3/5
	Emerald Dragon review (TGCD) Reviewed on December 16, 2004 Every time I play, I find something new to marvel at. When Atolshan stops calling the elder "Pops" and refers to him as White Dragon Elder, you know Atol still blames the elder for Tamryn's departure three years prior. Little comments like that add a level of characterization matching (if not topping) the likes of Lunar.	5/5
	Final Fight review (X68K) Reviewed on November 25, 2004 From the wrong side of the tracks to mob boss Belger's luxurious penthouse, you'll bust punk heads with your fists and slice baddie bodies with powerful katanas. There's always a reason, and your reason is simple: the evil Mad Gear gang has kidnapped lovely Jessica! It's an overused plot device, but that's okay because cracking skulls would be fun even if there weren't any reason at all.	4/5
	Fatal Fury 2 review (X68K) Reviewed on October 24, 2004 Who wouldn't want to control lone wolf Terry Bogard on a quest to topple a ruthless opponent? Believe it or not, some people didn't. This time, those people had seven other options. They could play as ninja girl Mai Shiranui, spinning across the screen with her Deadly Ninja Bees attack or hurling butterfly fans.	2/5
	Lightening Force: Quest for the Darkstar review (GEN) Reviewed on September 24, 2004 From the awe-inspiring title screen, with gigantic scrolling lettering (THUNDER FORCE) and raging guitar, to the eerily grandiose organs of the penultimate stage, the music tracks — nay, the entire game — keep injecting excitement directly into your jugular.	4.5/5
	Contra: Hard Corps review (GEN) Reviewed on September 18, 2004 You may say you're not impressed by scenes like the one where you stand on a wooden bridge and fire clash beams through a waterfall at a cretaceous beast while it tries to shake you off the bridge... but I know the truth. From the first minute you saw the famous 3D "highway" scene where your hero runs from a ball-and-chain swinging robot, you were hooked.	5/5
	Tsuki ~Possession~ review (PC) Reviewed on July 03, 2004 The artwork is amateurish, the music is forgettable, and the plot is stupid. The game is filled with misogyny, degradation, cruelty, humiliation, and outright gruesomeness.	0.5/5
	Hokuto no Ken: Seiki Matsukyu Seishi Densetsu review (PSX) Reviewed on April 11, 2004 Yeah, I had seen quite a bit of the TV show, and it was alright. The movie sucked. But the video game, OH MY FRIGGIN' GOD. Call me a "Fist" fan, effective immediately!	5/5
	Cotton 2 review (SAT) Reviewed on March 27, 2004 Beams of white light streak across the screen, flaming scarlet dragons roar from the wand, bright blue frozen enemies bounce off the walls, and in general lots of things explode and shatter in ways that look oh-so-painful yet oh-so-pretty. This witchy little tale offers a lot of opportunity to use, abuse, and master your techniques — all in a world that's so beautiful that you'll blissfully drool the whole way through.	4/5
	Choaniki: Sei Naru Protein Densetsu review (PS2) Reviewed on March 13, 2004 In this era of remakes and resuscitations, I suppose this game shouldn't have been a surprise — but still, Super Big Brother is one of the last series I expected to rise from the ashes... ashes formed from developer NCS-Masaya's dead, burning corpse. Point is, Legend of the Holy Protein features sexy-awesome style and its frenetic action should be enough to turn on any hardcore Psikyo shmup fan.	3.5/5
