Haha, two Nintendo-themed calculator reviews in one day! We are truly blessed.

I did it just for you, Jerec. I know how you love your calculator reviews. I saw you pining for one on Twitter the other day, so I thought I would send your way an embarrassment of riches.

"What if everything you see is more than what you see--the person next to you is a warrior and the space that appears empty is a secret door to another world? What if something appears that shouldn't? You either dismiss it, or you accept that there is much more to the world than you think. Perhaps it really is a doorway, and if you choose to go inside, you'll find many unexpected things." - Shigeru Miyamoto on secret doors to another world

I did a brief search, and it looks like these are first party titles (from Nintendo Software Technology in Redmond). Only speculation, but I think Nintendo saw what the App Store was doing for iPhone, with all the toy app nonsense it had, and trying to position the DSi similarity.
Haha, I bet you're already hard at work playing and reviewing the Nintendo Switch calculator... which can't even be justified based the time it was released.

I think I'll pass on that one for now, and possibly for all time. The Switch library has literally thousands of games I'd rather buy ahead of it, once I have spending money again. While the DS calculator apps might not seem like obvious review fodder, I feel they do have some value as a curiosity (plus I already owned them a few years ago now). There's a chance people will look them up, years from now, out of boredom. I don't think anyone was sincerely interested in the calculator app for Switch even a day after its release. I know I wasn't!

Two calculator reviews? I'm offering praise to every deity I can think of that this didn't happen during one of my RotW weeks!
