Starting October 29 at 5PM (PDT), Bandai Namco will kick off the Final Festival of Universes in Dragon Ball: Xenoverse 2. The event brings back hard-to-find items and even rewards for the upcoming next installment in the series that releases next year.

Dragon Ball: Xenoverse 2 is celebrating an impressive ten years of availability at this point. Initially released for a handful of consoles, it reached newer platforms such as the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X more recently. And still, the fighting continues.

Bandai Namco has released a trailer (embedded above) that covers the celebration in general, but I always find I prefer some written text, so here you go.

The Final Festival of Universes lets players increase their comraderie level with characters who have accompanied them on their journey. That includes Trunks, The Supreme Kai of Time, and Fu. Players will also earn 25 times the usual number of Star Coins, which the press release reckons will make it easier to exchange them for rewards. Given what I know about math, I suspect that's true.

Participating in the festival also rewards players with a new Gi that was made just for the celebration, as well as a commemorative medal. Those items in turn will allow players to unlock special items in Dragon Ball: Xenoverse 3.

Besides the above, Bandai Namco announced a free update for the game, due tomorrow, which brings Login Bonus Rewards, Special Costumes, and a Gallery of Time update, which you unlock when you purchase DLC Future Saga Chapter 4.

Dragon Ball: Xenoverse 2 has an average score of 72 on Metacritic, which doesn't sound amazing, but clearly it has resonated with Dragon Ball Z fans for years. It's nice to see the game get its flowers as its publisher looks forward to what's next.
