HonestGamers is a site for game reviews, previews, news, guides, forums, blogs, and chat.
Founded in late 1998 by Jason Venter, the site spent its early years on Geocities servers (where it was known as HonestGamer), then became HonestGamers after Jason lost access to the original domain. The site has gone through numerous iterations, leading to its current form.
Today, HonestGamers features thousands of curated reviews from the site's volunteer staff and readers. Although the site focuses largely on retro games that released before many of today's gaming sites existed, it also works to cover the latest releases on current hardware. If there's a video game in existence, there's interest in covering it at HonestGamers.
Thank you for visiting the site today. We hope you'll like what you see, and that you'll join us in celebrating the medium of video games while welcoming others to do the same.
