New trailer shows off arcade mode in Battle Princess Madelyn

The game is coming to all sorts of platforms... sometime.

Causal Bit Games today released a brief new trailer to show off Arcade Mode in its upcoming platformer, Battle Princess Madelyn. The action-packed trailer makes it clear the game knows how to rock, Ghouls 'n Ghosts-style.

Currently in development for eventual release on Nintendo Switch, Wii U (!), PlayStation 4, Vita (!), Xbox One and PC, Battle Princess Madelny looks better every time I see a screenshot or footage. The game also looks like it will kick my atrophying platformer skills squarely in the rump.

Based out of Novia Scotia, Canada, Causal Bit Games clearly is comprised at least partly of people who love the hardcore games of old. Christopher Obritsch, the studio's creative director, is described as a "young, retired professional graphic designer." Daven Bigelow, who handles the coding, also works on hitch hiking robots in his spare time. Finally, Angelina Obritsch shuffles money around and hires talent.

Check out the embedded trailer above to see if Battle Princess Madelyn suits your fancy. It's coming to the aforementioned platforms sometime soon-ish, though PR hasn't confirmed a date at this time and for now seems committed to keeping that information close to the vest, darn it!

	Masters posted September 05, 2018: This game looks fucking awesome. I can't wait. Too bad there's no release date -- hard to get too excited about TBA. I note that the head designer made Insanity's Blade, which looked great, but didn't play that great. Finally, Venter, the name of the company is actually CAUSAL, not CASUAL. Initially, I thought they had made the mistake in their demo.
