HonestGamers - EmP's Akai Katana review

spirit of your dead co-pilot who, but the way, can transform

But the way! That's an awesome typo worthy of an awesome review. I enjoyed this a lot. So is this a remake, then? And is it an Xbox Live download?

Yes and no, and no. It's a arcade port and an upgarde all rolled into one and depending on what game modes you go for. And, no, it's not a download. It's a full release on a lower price here. It's released in the 'states tomorrow. People should be buying it. Then, they should go pick up Deathsmiles while they're at it.

Thanks for the catch! I had a little spruce up of the review while I was in there fixing it.

For us. For them. For you.

Fuuuuu! I currently have a backlog of games to play, but I guess I'll purchase this on its release date just to support a new shoot-em-up release. >_<

Good review too, EmP!

I heard spaceshit noises.

What does it feel like to not have a backlog? I can't even remember!

"What if everything you see is more than what you see--the person next to you is a warrior and the space that appears empty is a secret door to another world? What if something appears that shouldn't? You either dismiss it, or you accept that there is much more to the world than you think. Perhaps it really is a doorway, and if you choose to go inside, you'll find many unexpected things." - Shigeru Miyamoto on secret doors to another world

Finally read the new version. Much improved, EMP! And those pictures rock my world.

This is a great review, thoroughly descriptive and entertaining. Sorry it took so long to read. Unfortunately, the sheer challenge of the game, while potentially exciting, may also put me off it simply because shooters aren't really my strength. But, who knows; maybe one day if I ever get a 360 I'll buckle and give it a go. :P
