Video Game music

By Dark Eternal · April 17, 2010

So recently I have been spending my time while in the internet also listening to various remixes of songs from games that I remember from history or from current generation games, and while for a great part, these are awful, there are some pretty good games.

I'm currently listening to some Chrono Cross and Chrono Trigger remixes, and as much certain british people would like to tell you otherwise, Chrono Cross deserves more then a 1 for it's music alone(even though most of everything else is on the spot when you mention the bad parts).

In any case, I liked this remix of Frog's theme:

Cross' music is mostly brilliant; I've never said otherwise. I found, though, that it's often eclipsed by the god awfulness of the battle theme -- the track you hear the most -- which consists of a bunch of Square employees raping a cat and recording it.

If you are just now discovering OCRemix, you're in for a fun time. There's so much good music on that site... it will take you the better part of a year to sift through it all.

Yeah, I wouldn't have even known about it if I didn't get a message in my Inbox at Youtube.

It's got some good stuff.

Might want to check out Galbadia hotel, as well. Especially the forums. They have a place where you can download ANY soundtrack from any Video Game or Anime.

IF it can be streamed, that is great. Not really up to downloading it on the computer, since this is mainly used as a side dish when surfing the net.
