NIS America today announced a release date for The Grimm Reapress and the Drearytale Monster, the next release in a line of storybook adventures that began with The Liar Princess and the Blind Prince. The new release, which arrived in Japan earlier this year, is set to reach North America on May 13, 2027.
The Grimm Reapress and the Drearytale Monster invites players to step into another hand-drawn fairytale book. This time, they meet Mono, a young girl who has a sister who contracted the dreaded disease of Paper Mortis, which turns people into picture books that in turn become monsters. Not ideal.
Mono hopes for a better fate for her sister, so she heads off on a journey with an unlikely companion: Mär, a monster who is hell-bent on vengeance. The pair will get to know each other better as they traverse the Libratarium where Mono's sister is being held.
As the game progresses, players will solve puzzles, fight bosses, and assemble clues and collectible items to track down the missing girl and spare her from the terrible fait that awaits her.
