It's a slow, clumsy journey through the seven levels of hell

I'm curious. Which two levels did they zap? They seem to have shortchanged the user on everything else.

Also, I laughed internally no end at the whole "F1" bit. What were they thinking? I guess people are supposed to be nice in heaven but that gets almost condescending.

I'm curious, though, about a more detailed example of a puzzle. Is it all just seeing people in order? It seems like puzzles + Dante would be perfect for me, but the game seems executed so wretchedly that I am glad I have the chance to see the mistakes from afar.

Hm... I first saw this review up here and thought this was a different game altogether.

Reading this, it sounds like an indy Graphic adventure that was poorly executed. But I remember seeing an advert about a year ago (or sometime) on a gaming channel where the developers were making a more action-oriented based game on Dante's Inferno. This concept, as they presented it, seemed like it'd be kind of like God of War except the Divine Comedy instead of Greece, which made it seem really awesome.

I've got a strong feeling this is something else entirely, which is good because I was really hoping the product I'd seen whenever ago would be really cool.

Anyway, as for the review itself... it feels like it's missing something. More concrete examples, probably. Heh. In a way, though, that might be appropriate since I have the feeling that's how you (and anyone else playing the game) felt when they finished.

Pretty interesting otherwise, though.

You were mistaking it for Dante's Inferno, wolfqueen, which is being developed by Visceral Games, an Electronic Arts studio. We regularly post news articles about that title, which is a God of War clone of sorts. That's probably why this guy contacted us about his game. He felt that readers interested in Dante's Inferno might be interested in knowing about this game based on the broader work of literature.

"What if everything you see is more than what you see--the person next to you is a warrior and the space that appears empty is a secret door to another world? What if something appears that shouldn't? You either dismiss it, or you accept that there is much more to the world than you think. Perhaps it really is a doorway, and if you choose to go inside, you'll find many unexpected things." - Shigeru Miyamoto on secret doors to another world

I really wanted this to be very good, as conceptually it's brilliant. And... in a way I'm almost compelled to say "buy it, as you're donating £15 to a worthy cause." As a game, though, it's very weak.
