Hey Australians.

Tell me about the nature of my newfound freedom, then I shall report back.

It's probably a reference to the one guy stepping down--in part--from his post wherein he was heavily restricting gaming in Australia by preventing the adoption of an equivalent to North America's "M" rating. The preceding sentence rocks.

Yeah, um, Michael Atkinson? Kinda surprised you don't know what I'm talking about. I figured y'all would be thrilled by this news.

It's progress, perhaps, but he wasn't the only one against it. He was just the most vocal.

Generally when someone like that steps down it's to make way for a younger, more energetic, version of himself.

Thanks for letting me know. My fault for not reading the newspaper that day, I guess :) In a way, you non-Aussies might have spotted it more easily as the main Australian news that registers in gaming channels is all to do with the R-rating thing, where for locals, it's another news item to be sorted out from the barrage that makes up our true-blue dinkum Aussie lives.
