Mass Effect 3's Extended Cut DLC launches Tuesday
BioWare announced today that Mass Effect 3's Extended Cut downloadable content pack will launch on June 26 on Xbox Live, the PlayStation Network and PC in North America. The rest of the galaxy can download it July 4. But no matter where you are, the DLC will come free of charge.
The controversial DLC is BioWare's answer to Mass Effect fans who weren't entirely happy with the third game's ending. The studio, in an attempt to appease the series' fans, promised "content initiatives" for the title, presumably meaning Extended Cut could be the first of several content packs meant to aid in that effort.
If we were to go by its file size, Extended Cut doesn't seem like a small effort either; The DLC measures in at nearly 2 gigabytes.
You can check out more on ME3's Extended Cut yourself by watching an interview with series director Casey Hudson on BioWare's official site.
