For a handheld to produce the best Resident Evil in nearly a decade while its console big brothers are all banging pots and setting off fireworks is pretty badass. Now that it's actually on consoles, though, with the higher standards that a port job like this demands, it just feels like another addition to an increasingly long list of missed opportunities.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Knights of the Nine (Xbox 360)

In the priory basement is an enchanted pedestal which will convert this equipment into stronger versions as you increase in level. Since many rewards in this game are based on your level when you earn them, having stuff that will grow with you instead of simply becoming obsolete is a very nice touch.

Darkest of Days (Xbox 360)

Darkest of Days isn't going to win any awards for being one of the prettiest games on the Xbox 360, as it's a 2009 title that looks like an indie-made Source game released shortly after 2004's Half-Life 2. But if you've been aware of this game, chances are its looks aren't what piques your interest, instead you're intrigued by the premise: time travel.
