HonestGamers - JoeTheDestroyer's Air Fortress review

I had this game in my collection and based on the title and cover art, I just assumed it was a generic shmup. Based on this review, I popped it in this morning and was pleasantly surprised. There's a great sense of atmosphere, some interesting gameplay, and the short passwords.

(I love short passwords!)

It sounds like a very bold game for that era. I'm not sure it sounds like much fun though!

'There would be tears and there would be strange laughter. Fierce births and deaths beneath umbrageous ceilings. And dreams, and violence, and disenchantment.'

I keep thinking this looks like Guardian Force.

Note to gamers: when someone shoots you in the face, they aren't "gay." They are "psychopathic."

Er... Did you mean Guardian Legend? If so, that game mixed up genres way better.
