About Me: Sorry, but I haven't yet shared the information about myself that would typically display here. Check back later to see if that changes, or if I instead choose to remain an enigma. |
****ing drunk dumbass tried to merge into my lane without even bothering to look if there was anyone next to him. I was mere inches away from getting rammed, but I just accelerated and changed lanes as fast as I could. Bleh.

Christmas was pretty damned hectic this year. My family decided to break the tradition of a reunion in favor of other plans; my dad, stepmom, and their family went to Vegas, a few of my cousins, aunts, and uncles went up to Lake Tahoe, and others simply didn't feel like coming. Bleh. But I still went to my grandmother's house, helped her cook, clean, and wrap presents until 3 AM on last days before Christmas...
Then I got sick and spent most of Christmas Eve in bed with the flu. (I'm still getting over it) I didn't do much on the big day either; I just played some pool, watched some football, the James Bond marathon, and the History Channel. Though not everyone showed up this year, just seeing relatives and catching up makes it all seem worthwhile.
Anyway, here's what I got:
So there I was in the electronics section, waiting patiently for a clerk to unlock the protective glass door and hand me a copy of Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin.
At least, I think so. When i asked for a hint, all she said was "it's a game that involves jobs." Ever since I told her that I hadn't played any of the numerical Final Fantasy series, she's been trying to get me to try some of them. I'm more of an action/adventure/fighting kind of gamer, but I'll give an RPG a chance once in a while. She's a fanatic about any games involving dragons (hence her obsession with Final Fantasy), so I think I'll get her Drakengard 2 this year...
Speaking of current games, Jump! Ultimate Stars rocks.
That doesn't mean I'm going to stop, though. I'm still a long way from breaking the records I want, and I've still reviewed maybe half of the total amount of games I've ever played.Hell, I haven't even touched on some of the systems I own.
In the meantime, I have midterms to contend with. >_<
I've been out of the reviewing scene for two weeks. Two WEEKS! Normally this wouldn't be a big deal, but I like at least doing one review a week to keep my skills sharp. But between school, work, visiting relatives, computer problems, lack of motivation and other stuff, I haven't reviewed anything at all.
That changed yesterday, though. There's a whopping 2006-word piece on Shadow of the Colossus on Gamefaqs right now, and it should to be posted here soon enough. It's my biggest yet, but both the subject matter and the minimum word count requirements kinda called for it. I might even use it for Round 3 of The Great War Tourney, but there are dozens of other reviews to choose from...*Starts contemplating*
Expect Oregon Trail on Gamefaqs sometime maƱana. ^_^
