I decided it was finally time to get a Nintendo Switch, so I set aside some money here and there, and finally got one after Christmas. Obviously, it's kind of hard to play a new system without games, so I managed to pick up:
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (only physical game so far)
Final Fantasy VII
MagiCat
Untitled Goose Game
Legend of Kay Anniversary
In the coming weeks, I'd also like to get Pokemon: Let's Go, Eevee!, Super Mario Odyssey, Xenoblade Chronicles 2, The Banner Saga Trilogy, Dead Cells, RAD, and Ape Out. I just hope the games I recently bought for Steam don't get neglected.

Minus the impending childbirth, there's some definite similarities between that and my PS4 purchase. First, I didn't need a new system when I got that one, being what that my backlog of games on others is really large. Secondly, I came into it with a plan to buy a couple games right away and then SLOWLY get more, going for a "buy a new one when I'm about done with the one I'm playing" strategy so that I at least don't add to my backlog. And well, when I look at my backlog box, I see 9 untouched PS4 games staring at me and if not for actual self-discipline showed by me on my birthday, it'd probably be 12. But for once, I actually prevented myself from adding to the list. At least for a little while, since half the reason was because I was in GameStop and one of the games I wanted had their generic box instead of the actual game box, so I was more able to talk myself into abandoning the whole thing.
