No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle review (WII)Reviewed on February 28, 2010Travis Touchdown could have gone out like a punk, but punks don't give up so easily, especially not without a fight! Certainly no one was expecting a sophomore effort from crazy game designer / frontman Suda 51 and his self-proclaimed 'video game band'. With a string of commercial flops to its credit, it seemed No More Heroes was destined to become no more than another cult classic for Grasshopper Manufacture(GhM). It would have been a shame though, since it is Suda 51's most acces... |

No More Heroes review (WII)Reviewed on February 01, 2010I've rarely played a game that prides itself on being "punk". Grasshopper Manufacture even revamped their logo with the motto "Punk's Not Dead" to reflect this brand new attitude. Yet it's not like Suda 51 changed styles. In essence, the demented game designer has been making punk games all along with his unconventional fusion of abstract pop art and minimalist game design. The only problem was he never had an image to fit his style... |

Zone of the Enders review (PS2)Reviewed on January 03, 2010While most reviews are inclined to credit Zone of the Enders as the work of Hideo Kojima. His association is nothing more than an endorsement for the game rather than something you could truly consider as the mastermind of his work. Instead, the idea for the game came from one of Kojima's disciples. Zone of the Enders has the dubious honor of being called a Hideo Kojima game without much involvement from the man himself. His name only appeared twice during the ending credits... |

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 review (PS3)Reviewed on November 26, 2009War doesn't change a damn thing no matter how noble the cause, especially during these times in the so-called, "War on Terror." Take out one evil and another more evil one takes its place. The ones who die become martyrs. Their bloodshed gives breed to new followers. War is a convoluted power struggle where yesterday's enemies will become tommorow's allies or something like that.. |

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time review (N64)Reviewed on November 23, 2009Isn't it ironic how the "Greatest video game ever made" was supposed to put Nintendo back on top, but instead led them to their inevitable downfall? Despite becoming the most commercially successful Zelda game to date with more than 7 million copies sold worldwide, in addition to being mentioned on virtually every "best of" list imaginable from critic and gamer alike, not even Ocarina of Time could save the Nintendo 64 from suffering humiliation at the hands of Sony. The 'Big N' who once ... |

Demon's Souls review (PS3)Reviewed on November 01, 2009What would happen if Godzilla and the Alien from Ridley Scott's movie had gone to hell to merge together, then came back as a hideous demon with a lean eight-pack(yes I said eight since it's not human..) and a mean punch that Captain Falcon would be proud of? Why you would get the towering monstrosity known as the Dragon God! Its roars are deafening even from far away. Your heart is beating fast. Its rage is seething uncontrollably that it never stops moving. Yet all you can do is wonder ... |
