As promised, Nintendo has swapped out last month's Club Nintendo downloadable game rewards for new ones.

This month's offerings include Dr. Mario Online Rx (1000 Wii Points/$10 or 100 Coins) and The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask (1000 Wii Points/$10 or 150 coins) for Wii, and Kirby's Dream Land ($3.99 or 100 coins) and Dr. Mario Express (5$4.99 or 150 coins) for 3DS. No, I don't know why the cheaper, smaller Dr. Mario is more expensive than the home version with online play.

This new set of games is only available from Club Nintendo until January 31st, at which point they'll presumably be swapped out for a new set.

The offensive comma has been removed. Good eye.

It's annoying me that the Australian Club Nintendo is different and I have so many points piled up, waiting for something worthwhile to spend them on. I did manage to get a SNES-styled classic controller for my Wii, though. But nothing since. None of this game download stuff. :(

I've snagged a 2010 (or was it 2011?) calendar, a set of collectible pins featuring the various Super Mario Bros. characters, a Game & Watch device and a set of Japanese trading cards in the old hanafuda style (with a neat little plastic case. I also downloaded the Mario vs. Donkey Kong title that was available last month. This month, I may try for one of the Doctor Mario games... though spending points on things I can buy with cash feels a bit stupid when points are the only currency Nintendo accepts for some of its most unique club rewards.

It's generally cheaper to spend coins on games and cash on Club Nintendo rewards on eBay (except maybe Gold and Platinum rewards) than the other way around.
