Here is a longer title for a game than we usually see: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition - Legendary Edition.

It doesn't exactly roll off the tongue, does it? But it's probably worth buying the game, because it comes with a lot of cool stuff that almost--almost!--makes up for the inconvenience of having to type out its full name on occasion.

According to a press release, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition - Legendary Edition (I copy-pasted that just now) comes on a physical cartridge and functions as the most complete physical release the core game has yet seen. It's a collection that includes all DLC characters and content updates, right there on the cartridge.

There's also an exclusive digital art book, if you're into such things. And why wouldn't you be?

Here's a full list of features the game's publisher, Super Evil Megacorp, wishes to direct your attention to:

  • Slash: The newest, fan-favorite playable character, with massive claws and immense physical strength to destroy anyone standing in his way.

  • Casey Jones & the Junkyard Jam Expansion: A fresh Junkyard narrative expansion with heart-racing boss encounters and the beloved hockey-mask-wearing vigilante, Casey Jones.

  • Metalhead & Alopex: Metalhead is Splintered Fate's first fully ranged fighter, and Alopex is the title’s first female playable character, a mutant arctic fox and powerful ninja assassin.

  • Digital Art Book: Physical enthusiasts can now get an insider look at the behind-the-scenes of Splintered Fate with a collection of concept art, character designs, environmental sketches and more.

  • All Free Content Updates: Every single free update released to date is available on the cartridge, including the recent King’s Gambit update that pushes players’ reflexes and combat abilities to their absolute limit and caps off the main storyline arc!

If you live in Europe, the Legendary Edition isn't available just yet, but you can sign up for pre-orders and it will arrive starting November 17.

That's Europe, though. In America, you can buy Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition - Legendary Edition right now.

See? You knew there was a reason you held off on buying it until just now!
