Aya Games has released Ayasa: Shadows of Silence on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, the publisher and developer announced today in a press release. The game was previously released on PC.
Ayasa: Shadows of Silence is a puzzle-platformer that unfolds in the "Inverted World." New paths are revealed by light, and surviving means paying close attention to your surroundings. There also is apparently a stealth component.
According to the press release, the Inverted World maintained harmony by holding l ight and shadow in balance. A recent war has broken the delicate balance, which leaves six lands to potentially fall under the thrall of growing darkness.
Into this teetering world steps Ayasa, a young woman who seeks to restore the light of Tas, the world's former leader. She'll uncover the secrets of each of six worlds: Faith, Hope, Love, Greed, Indifference, and Betrayal.

The art style is inspired by the works of Tim Burton, René Laloux, Robert Sahakyants, Hayao Miyazaki and Sergei Parajanov, revealing the team's ambition.
"Ayasa was always meant to speak without words. We wanted players to feel the story rather than read it," said Edgar Janoyan, Founder and CEO of Aya Games. "Seeing players on PC connect with Ayasa's journey has meant everything to us. Today, players on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S can finally step into the Inverted World and find their own light in the dark."
Intrigued and considering a purchase or an addition to your wish list (the latter being how I mostly shop these days)? Here are some key features (straight from the press release) that might help make up your mind:
Six symbolic lands. Explore surreal environments shaped by hope, conflict and corruption.
Environmental puzzles. Use light to reveal hidden paths and activate ancient machines.
Stealth and survival. Read your surroundings and evade the dangers waiting in the dark.
Visual storytelling. Follow a story told through movement, imagery and sound, without spoken dialogue.
Armenian musical influence. A soundtrack by Arman Msryan drawing on the music of Komitas.
Ayasa: Shadows of Silence is available now on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, with an MSRP of $19.99. The Steam version released on November 28, 2025, where it is available with a 20% discount at present. Previously, there was some expectation that the game might make it to Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, but I saw no mention of those today.
