Mannnnnnnn... now I really want to play this game. Even though, as you said, you don't have prior experience with the previous games, your review still does a solid job describing what this latest sequel tries to do, and what it maintains from its predecessors.
I've played the first two Saints Rows in preparation for the third game, but I never got around to it. It looked really fun to play, too, and I was always taken aback by how some players hated it for being a really silly game. Judging by what you've written, the fourth, thankfully, seems to stay true to the series' goofy nature.
