Mount & Blade review

Reviewed March 06, 2009

Josh Higley says: "Really, it's just a matter of what you want. Anyone with the right mindset and a pinch of imagination can get swept away in the world of Mount and Blade, and create something that is unique and epic to them. That one aspect, in spite of any of its faults, kept me playing for hours. If you like having your hand held, and being given direction and taken through a story, then the game's not for you. "

jsgx3 says: "I ran across this game about a year ago on another game website. I noticed it was made a few years ago and it was a bit of an "Indie" hit. while it intrigued me I didn't want to pay for what was reviewed as an "almost but not quite" type of game. A couple months ago I tried the Demo. "

magicjuggler says: "The term Fantasy RPG has a very entrenched definition. One assumes a linear plot-heavy game with an overworld map and random turn-based combat where small parties with members numbering in the single-digits fight each other with magic and the occasional steampunk. Elves, Dwarves, and the occasional magic-powered mecha might make an appearance. "
