The Sly Collection sneaks onto PSN Tuesday
Everyone's favorite thieving raccoon, Sly Cooper, is pulling off his biggest heist yet by stealing a spot on the Playstation Store. The Sly Cooper games first made the jump to the PS3 last year, but Tuesday will be the first opportunity for fans to download them with most all the improvements The Sly Collection has to offer.
The Sly Cooper games will be available to download individually for $9.99 each or $29.99 for the whole collection. The Sly Collection includes Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus, Sly 2: Band of Thieves, and Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves, all of them remastered in HD at 60 frames-per-second. Trophies and stereoscopic 3D support have also been added, going even further in bringing them into the current generation of gaming.
The one improvement from the Blu-Ray release of The Sly Collection that doesn't find its way into the downloadable release are the Playstation Move enhanced mini-games. That in mind, for those who don't own a Playstation Move, getting The Sly Collection off PSN works out to be a pretty sweet deal.
As the next entry in the Sly Cooper franchise is due out next year, those who've yet to check out the games have a pretty good reason to finally give them a shot. At $9.99 a piece, it's certainly a low-risk investment in what is considered by some to be one of the PS2's classic franchises.
