Yay...for tedious gameplay.

I unlocked three achievements for Prey --

"Young Blood" -- get 50 kills in deathmatch.
"Ten Games" -- Play ten ranked matches.
"Acid Sprayer" -- get 25 kills with the acid sprayer.

...I think that's how it goes...anyways...

I have this chair. It has built-in speakers for my gaming, and it also has this "adjustment", where you can adjust the volume and...dundundundundundundundundun...DUN...

Vibration.

Yep. It vibrates like a massage and it feels good. Yeah, well, I vowed that TODAY, and only TODAY, I would finish COD2 (I'm on reg. -- vet. next). Well, you see...

I had thirteen missions to go. Well, a bit of a challenge. Ol' Micro doesn't mind a challenge.

It's challenging.

I got through the entire British campaign...well, I don't really even remember it, exactly now ... sad.

Anywho, I moved onto the next campaign. First set of missions were practically already complete ... one down. Well...it was a tough level. Beat it after countless tries and fighting the URGE to throw that DAMN controller to the DAMN wall. Well...I didn't.

I beat it sincerely.

And then the next level.

Ho-ho-ho-ho. HO!

"The Silo" it was called. Sniped in the beginning, which was fine with me, because...in all honesty, I prefer sniping because it's a battle of intuition in my mind. Anyways, we continue on and reach our destination. Great...the next roll of objectives pour in.

I now have to secure A, B, C, D, E, and F flanks. Six flanks to secure. Woopie!

I finish and it's about twenty minutes later. I kiss the floor, thank God, I have gotten past the dreadful level...but NOOOOOOOOOOO!

"Taylor! Go to the top of that Silo and take down any enemy reinforcements!"

DAMN YOU!! DAMN YOU GENERAL! DAMN YOU!

I climb up the ladder and await my fellow enemies. Pop, pop, pop. I'm popping them with my handy-dandy sniper rifle. Next comes these little soldiers who hide behind various objects, revealing a shoe or two of them. It's ridiculous, because when I do aim and shoot, they're virtually invincible. After about five minutes of trying to get one guy, then come more.

Can ya feel the headache comin' on?

I finished, praise the Lord, and I was practically ecstatic. Hopping all the way to regroup with my soldiers.

And then it hit me.

If I must complete veteran mode ... I must ...

AGHHHH!

Veteran isn't as OMGWTF-hard as it's made out to be. I thought that last Silo objective was going to be a nightmare, but I did it on my third or fourth attempt. You just have to perservere, and keep shooting Nazis.

Well. It's official. I beat the game and I'm already on the fourth mission on Veteran. You're right. It DOES take perserverance. Though, it's like a little accomplishment. Woot.
