Keeping up on all the games you want can be tough, especially if your tastes tend toward the fairly diverse. And also, if you lose a bunch of contract work and can barely put food on the table, let alone think about buying games. During one of the most amazing seasons the industry has ever seen.
Thankfully, that particular issue has been resolved and now I once again have gainful employment. But the fact remains that over the last couple of years or so, I've let a fair few games slip through the cracks. These are titles that I still want to own, in physical format, and I hope to knock a number of them off the list... probably starting with some that have seen pleasing price drops since they first hit my radar.
Anyway, here's the list... and I reserve the right to add to it and remove titles from it at random. It is my list, after all...
Edit: Significantly updated the list to reflect current priority purchases, after acquiring most of the games on the previous list.
Atelier Ayesha Plus (Vita)
Avalon Code (DS)
Castle of Shikigami III (Wii)
Cooking Mama 5: Bon Appetit! (3DS)
Disney's Magical Quest 3: Starring Mickey & Donald (GBA)
Harvest Moon 3D: The Lost Valley (3DS)
Hotel Dusk: Room 215 (DS)
Infinite Space (DS)
The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel III (Switch)
The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel IV (Switch)
Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes (DS)
Nostalgia (DS)
Pokemon Art Academy (3DS)
That's 25 titles, at the time of this initial post. Considering how many games released during that period, I don't think it's all that bad!

...it wouldn't hurt the staffers much to get on board with Patreon, would it now?

These days, you don't have to look very hard to find someone who hates anything you might care to name with a fiery passion. It's becoming increasingly important to me that I find a few people I can know and trust to provide worthwhile opinions on the entertainment I'm thinking about giving a shot. Fortunately, this community makes that easy, and I hope it always will.

Also, don't get Dead Rising 4. It's awful. I think I made a blog post back at release bemoaning wasting $60 on that dreck. Dark Souls III is fantastic. Having recently completed runs in all the Soulsborne games, I can say confidently it's hanging around there near the top of the series. Definitely spring for the Fire Fades version with the DLC. The second one is especially fantastic. Nioh is quite enjoyable too but has some flaws and balance issues. Probably the best non-From Soft Souls-like currently (I really want to try The Surge when it gets cheaper). Horizon is an absolute blast but also creatively bankrupt. Pretty much an amalgamation of triple A games from the last 5 years. RE7 is a return to form but doesn't feel like a $60 game at all. Get it cheap.
