That paragraph describing the aiming just perfectly described a majority of console shooters; solving inferior control methods with oversized hitboxes is the way most of these tend to go. Looking at footage on YouTube, the crosshairs are pretty oversized and imprecise, as well. And the comic book font in the narration just screams "Max Payne," along with everything else. Really, I'm surprised a comparison wasn't made in this review.

Still, a pretty entertaining read with lots of good, dry humor! I would have appreciated the review having greater staying power by taking a closer look at the dynamics of the game mechanics, with some comparisons to other shooters, but I think hardcore fans of the franchise will find this review extremely helpful.

Anymore, I try to stay away from comparing games, because my writing has a tendency to slip into "Game A isn't good because it's not Game B." I made it a point not to mention Max Payne in this review because it just isn't necessary. Max Payne's existence has no bearing on my opinion.

There are times when comparisons are inevitable (The Wonderful End of the World completely owes its existence to Katamari Damacy, for instance), but I didn't feel like this was one of those cases.

Thank you for reading!

Good point. Hey, I never heard of that other game, but if it's like Katamari, count me interested! Thanks for mentioning that!
