definitely excited about these 2....NFS World takes the Need for Speed franchise into the world of MMOs..... from Gamespot:
"The free version allows access to the game's open-world races, police pursuits, and character progression, though a cap for the latter is placed at level 10.
For those seeking a deeper experience, EA will also launch the online game alongside the Need for Speed World Starter Pack, which costs $20. Inside the digital wrapping are access to level 50, a Toyota Corolla AE86 vehicle exclusive to the pack, and $20 worth of SpeedBoost (NFS World's in-game currency).
some users have already rated the game (average comes to 7.8) but i dont mind since its only the free version i will be trying of this one.....
once upon a time u had a good RTS game coming out almost every month but now it seems that the RTS genre has died down.......the last couple of high-profile RTS games i.e. Command and Conquer 4 and Supreme Commander 2 were released way back in March and Starcraft II doesnt release till next month....July 27th to be exact.....i wish that more companies start making RTS games and also that Blizzard would make Warcraft IV......
so E3 came and went......but since i dont own a console now it feels as if the show didnt connect with me coz E3 i think is becoming more and more console focused......sure there were PC games shown (mostly because games are becoming mutiplatform)and Civilization V has got me excited more than any other game but it would have been cool if there was a PC media briefing (is there something like that happening right now?) too where some of the 3rd party developers show off their games being released exclusively on the PC or also even if the releases are multiplatform.......
Rage the new IP from id Software that combines racing with FPS action won the best overall game of E3 award from IGN.......
if this is such a good game i wonder why it wasnt shown at any of the big 3's conferences when it is a multiplatform release......
i havent seen any footage of this game......might do so over the weekend....
why was Sony's press conference 2 hours long while Nintendo's and Microsoft's was about 1 hour and 20 minutes or something????
anyways, the highlight of Sony's conference for me was Kevin Butler took the stage and added some real humor to the press briefings.....he took some jabs at both Nintendo and Microsoft which were quite funny.....
so check his segment out if u havent already....
still havent watched Sony's conference but did watch Nintendo's and i admit it was impressive but still i would like to point out that out of the 10 games that they showed MAJORITY were sequels or 're-imagining' of old franchises and not original IPs.....so i stand by my previous post that besides the 3DS Nintendo also built upon stuff already there......
i missed both of the conferences yesterday but it seems (after reading the conference highlights) that i didnt miss much.....
like Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo just built upon the ideas they have been talking about for the past 1 year....
Sony also gave release dates for Gran Turismo (November 2,if im not wrong) to Killzone 3, Unchartered 3........ <----- thats me loosing interest and feeling a bit disappointed that E3 this year has been more about sequels than anything else.....
its gr8 that no new console was announced because i still want to buy a PS3 or Xbox 360...hopefully they wont do so for the next 5 years.....
