Code Name: Viper (NES)

Code Name: Viper review (NES)

Reviewed on July 07, 2013

People use the word “clone” a lot these days as they talk about video games, sometimes unjustly. Some games really do deserve that unwanted label, though, and there are few titles with a more legitimate claim to it than Code Name: Viper for the NES. That isn't to say that it’s a poor product, however.
Lunar Pool (NES)

Lunar Pool review (NES)

Reviewed on June 01, 2013

There isn't too much more you can really say about Lunar Pool, except that it's a generally fun game. If you like pool-- or perhaps mini-golf-- then it's hard to go wrong with it, especially if you can find it cheap. It welcomes newcomers and pros alike, and for a pool game which dares to reach beyond the normal boundaries, it does its job well.
Rad Racer (NES)

Rad Racer review (NES)

Reviewed on May 26, 2013

Rad Racer isn't the greatest driving or racing game ever made, but it was a quality piece of work and it remains fun to this day. The fact that it represents the work of some of Square's finest team members before they made it big with the Final Fantasy series makes it potentially interesting for fans of that franchise, as well.
Casino Kid (NES)

Casino Kid review (NES)

Reviewed on May 20, 2013

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to play a poker or blackjack game that feels a lot like a JRPG in the vein of Dragon Quest or Final Fantasy? If so, you're in luck because Sofel provides exactly that in its overlooked NES classic, Casino Kid.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (NES)

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles review (NES)

Reviewed on April 28, 2013

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for the NES has a lot going for it, in spite of its famous flaws.
StarTropics (NES)

StarTropics review (NES)

Reviewed on April 27, 2013

StarTropics provides a fun and fascinating combination of various elements, but one miscalculation results in the title being tragically overlooked or even completely forgotten by many of today’s players, even those who might frequently delve into retro gaming.
Excitebike (NES)

Excitebike review (NES)

Reviewed on April 20, 2013

Though it's solidly made, and features some slightly catchy tunes to go along with its somewhat-iconic NES visuals, Excitebike doesn't really offer players a lot of depth.
Golf (NES)

Golf review (NES)

Reviewed on April 20, 2013

Golf for the NES is one of those games that delivers exactly what it promises in the title.
