Square Enix announced today the release of Love Live! School Idol Festival: After School Activity - Wai-Wai! Home Meeting!!, a music/rhythm game for PlayStation 4 that expands on the popular arcade game released exclusively in Japan.
Love Live! School Idol Festival: After School Activity - Wai-Wai! Home Meeting!! is part of the "Love Live! Sunshine!!" project, which you might recognize as an anime series following the Aqours (pronounced "aqua"). They are a school idol group trying to save their school in Numazu City, Shizuoka Prefecture from closing.
Of course, Love Live! itself is a larger project, with an anime that debuted in Japan in 2013. It ran for two seasons and also spawned a highly successful film ahead of a "farewell tour" at Tokyo Dome on March 31 and April 1, 2016. Which brings us (sort of) to the game released today.
In Love Live! School Idol Festival: After School Activity - Wai-Wai! Home Meeting!!, which is available as a free download on PlayStation 4, players can experience new features that include a "View Live Show" mode, a "Live Show Medley" mode, special outfit color variations, the ability to create custom "Home Meeting!!" playlists from favorite songs, and more.
Speaking of songs (and costumes), you'll have to pay a lot if you want to get any more than the 8 songs and 3 costumes that can be unlocked in the Free Base Version. There are a total of 125 songs and 69 costumes available, usually in packs. To give you an idea of pricing, the "Love Live! Sunshine!! Song Pack 4: Love Live! Sunshine!! The School Idol Movie: Over the Rainbow" pack includes 3 songs and is priced at $8.49. The "Love Live! Sunshine!! Costume Pack 6: Aqours Costumes (School Idol Festival AC)" bundle is priced at $11.99 and includes three costumes.

The three costumes offered are two variations of "School Unity," as well as "Believe again." They seem bland enough that you're probably going to want to spend a bit of money almost immediately, just to better express your unique self.
