About Me:

Sorry, but I haven't yet shared the information about myself that would typically display here. Check back later to see if that changes, or if I instead choose to remain an enigma.

Jiggle Physics
March 24, 2009

this shouldn't surprise me at all.. that Kojima delves into a little perversion in most of his games but this...i was least expecting jiggle physics any at all in Policenauts! of all games, why Policenauts?! you'll meet various girls throughout the game and you have the opportunity to do THAT to them. yes. THAT. click. bounce.

what's a good website for retro import games?
March 14, 2009

besides ebay... i found one that was kind of interesting called www.jap-sai.com, anyone tried out their services before? contains some pretty neat info and little history on certain games in collector guide-like fashion: original release date, packaging info, the going-price, rarity if noted, but the only downside is getting these games aren't cheap and the shipping rate is ridiculous for a first time buyer of the site, but supposedly you get shipping discounts once you become a member. alot of the games i like seem to average around the 30 to 60 dollar range and of course those rare import games can go up for 1 or 2 benjamins...like they listed pc engine rondo of blood for $160. anyways, any other good sites out there?

who do you support?
February 27, 2009

big gaming companies with their big budget money making franchises and small ideas or small-time companies with small budgets and big ideas? the fat cats who are cash-strapped and already famous or the starving artist who is penniless and looking for their big break?
i think more people should help support smaller game developers/studios... at least support them enough for them to continue to function and not be shuttered out like Ensemble Studios, but Ensemble were fairly high-profile, but small nevertheless.

yakuza 3 demo is going live on the japanese PSN...
February 18, 2009

as mentioned on Kotaku. anyone going to download this? it lookin' pretty good. in other news, i'm suddenly wanting Street Fighter IV, but i don't feel like spending money on it...shhhit. i was thinking about trading in some of my games from my collection to Lamestop, but it's tough....i was thinking of a fighting game that i don't care about anymore. between virtua fighter 5 and soul calibur IV on my PS3, i'm leaning more towards trading in SCIV...but i'll probably get shitty credit for it, probably less than $15...but i might consider it for $20...also thinking about getting rid of Stranglehold: Collector's Edition. i don't care if Midway Games shuts down. they make pretty shitty games nowadays except from the early 80's and some from the early 90's, which is why they are where they are r

the recession couldn't havve come at a worse time...
February 13, 2009

because there are a tons of games i want to buy yet not enough cash. 2008 was disappointing, so why would 2009 be any different? being cynical hasn't done me any good recently, not that i shouldn't be a little bit. for all i know 2009 might just end up being the best year ever for these new systems and for some reason i'm excited nonetheless about the upcoming games. besides most of the RPGs i listed on my previous post i want, i also want this year...

WII
Deadly Creatures
House of the Dead Overkill
Madworld
Punch Out
Fatal Frame
Sin and Punishment 2
that one game from the creators of Odin Sphere, forgot the title.

PS3
Street Fighter IV
Resident Evil 5
Killzone 2(kind of)
Uncharted 2
Bionic Commando

DS & PSP
bunch of RPGs

xbox360...if i had one
Ninja Blade
Star Ocean 4
Dead Rising 2

is this the year of the RPGs?
February 11, 2009

not only are we getting alot of remakes, but more sequels and perhaps some originals. is this a great time to be an RPG fan or what? for instance...

the PS2 has:
Ar Tonelico 2 this year and the upcoming SMT: Devil Summoner 2 and Mana Khemia 2

PSP:
Persona
Growlanser
Tales of The World 2
Star Ocean second evolution

DS:
Dragon Quest 9
Dragon Quest 5 & 6
Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon
Valkyrie Profile 3
Legacy of Y's 1 & 2
Shin Megami Tensei DS
Nights In The Nightmare and whatever else Atlus is bringing over

Wii:
Arc Rise Fantasia

Star Ocean 4, White Knight Chronicles, Last Remnant rounding out on the other nextgen systems. that's about 20 games i've mentioned and i'm sure there will be twice as many released by the end of the year...phew
