Good review, darkstar. I wasn't with you at first because I don't really like reviewing games based on price point (prices drop, inflation occurs, things become emulated years and years later) but you make a great case for your argument by tying it into the gameplay, the gimmick, and launching into a a discussion of design which I found illuminating in terms of how the game played and what its downfalls are. With a game that's different like this, it can be hard to get that across as quickly as you did.

So is this related to Fatal Frame in any way?

It's a spinoff of Fatal Frame.

Tentatively, as in it shares the concept of taking pictures of ghosts with a camera to defeat them. It would help if it had actually been longer.

With that cover image, I have to say, I keep thinking this is a game about the Master Hand escaping from Smash Brothers and wreaking havoc on the world.
