Do you guys ever thing about how easy it is to buy games nowadays? There's hundreds of games that can be bought digitally, and with all the bundles, sales, etc. you can get even some of the more well known titles without burning too big of a hole in your pocket. And, with things like Amazon becoming faster and faster with delivery, the process of getting physical copies of games will also speed up. Amazing! The future is now!
...OK, maybe I'm a little slow on realizing this. I don't know why, but I only truly thought of this a week or two ago. Or maybe I was subconsciously aware of it, and just never really paid any attention to it.
Which sorta leaves me to my next point: while it's so easy to just impulse buy games, it takes me so long to finish them! For those of you who weren't aware, there was a Humble Bundle recently, and you could get pretty much every Sonic game (or at least, a lot of them) for $10. I instantly bought it. Now, there's two problems with this decision I made.
1) There's a few games on there that I'm pretty sure wouldn't even work with my computer. I know I should probably get a better computer because I'm missing out on so many games, and my computer can still run a lot of games (sometimes it feels like a draw of hat on whether or not it can run them, though...), but I'm 90% sure that if I even tried to run Generations, my computer would basically explode.
2) I'm really not that big of a fan of Sonic? I don't hate the franchise, but let's put it this way: I bought the bundle almost as soon as I saw it, and almost all I've played are about three levels from Sonic 1 and 2, and the first two stages of Sonic Adventure. Welp.
So, to get to the gist, that's why I'm gonna start posting on this blog! I really want to get through my backlog, not just so I can play more games, but because I feel like I'm wasting my money if I don't. If I don't update this again in the next few weeks, bug me.
To have one short update to getting through my backlog, I'm going through all the titles I've downloaded on my Wii U, so mostly VC + Pikmin 3 and DKC: TF. Not only did I get through Punch Out, I also got through my very first Megaman game, Megaman 3! I...don't really know why I didn't play these games earlier, I really love them! I think it might be because I was playing with the Gamepad. I like the Gamepad, but the Classic Controller Pro feels so much nicer when playing it. A lot of the deaths I had when I started were avoided once I started using it. Now I'm sorta hooked on the series. I'll probably get the Megaman X Collection, that looks good. Then I might get those Battle Net games, and maybe 1 and 2.
...This might be having the opposite affect than what I intended.

We're having the same digital renaissance (and resultant hoarding) in literature, thanks to eBooks. Readily available and often cheap, especially when there's a 99 cent sale or freebie giveaway--such that a lot of customers will hoover up your book while the gettin's good, but they may or may not get around to reading it!
