As some of you know, I previously lived in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and would love to get back there. At the same time, some scary stuff has been happening around my old neighborhood. A local bar just got shot up. In another incident, some friends of a friend were robbed at gunpoint on a footbridge crossing the river. There was only $37 among the four people, so the robber told them to jump in the river. When they refused, he pistol-whipped one person, and shot another in the leg.

Hitting a little closer to home, two acquaintances that I know pretty well were mugged this summer. The assailants hit the two guys over the back of the head, beat them up, and ran off with a wallet. Scary stuff.
