Recently, a Namco Bandai forum administrator called "shoupinou" suggested to fans of the game that if they wanted a PC port of Dark Souls, they should start a petition. Well, they did just that, and collected 64,000 signatures.
For the first time ever, someone actually noticed an online petition. After news of the petition broke, the administrator in question was approached by his bosses about it. "If you wanted to have the attention of Namco Bandai Games, now you have it," he posted on the forum. "The future is in your hands, and I hope you will keep supporting this. I make a personal objective to make sure every relevant people in Namco Bandai Games is in touch with this formidable effort."
Of course, this doesn't necessarily mean the port will happen, but actually being noticed is a bigger goal than most fan movements manage to reach.
