Tomb Raider: Underworld and more free for Playstation Plus subscribers
Everyone likes free stuff, and many people like Tomb Raider. It stands to reason, then, that quite a few people would enjoy getting Tomb Raider: Underworld for free. Starting today, they can, provided they're a Playstation Plus subscriber.
Free with payed subscription isn't quite as sweet of a deal as many might hope for, even when the much loved Lara Croft is involved, but it's still a great opportunity that those already signed up for Plus will want to take advantage of.
Tomb Raider: Underworld, for those unfamiliar with it, is the third entry in a modern Tomb Raider stand-alone trilogy that includes Tomb Raider: Legend and Tomb Raider: Anniversary. It is also the third Tomb Raider game by Crystal Dynamics and the first Tomb Raider game for the PS3.
Underworld isn't the only thing Sony is offering Playstation Plus subscribers, though. The original Spyro trilogy for the PS1 will be free for Plus users as well. This trilogy includes Spyro the Dragon, Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage, and Spyro: Year of the Dragon, all three of which received very favorable reviews when they first released.
The deals mentioned are all available starting today and in a week there is yet more in store. Starting on the 13th, Marvel Pinball will be free to those signed up for Playstation Plus.
These deals won't last forever, so, though the specials do come with the requirement that you be a Playstation Plus subscriber, those interested had best hurry onto PSN and get their free games soon.
