Bandai Namco has released the second set of DLC characters for Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions, the publisher announced today. Not only that, but it dropped a free content update so you can get more out of the game even if you're not quite ready to spring for new players.

According to the press release, the free update introduces a new chapter in Episode: New Hero. It follows Captain Ishizaki as he "leads Nankatsu Middle School to new heights in the New Hero League." Which sounds promising.

The Character Pass adds three characters: Shingo Aoi, Ryoma Hino and Mark Owairanvia (who, as we all know, is Prince of Saudi Arabia). You can get them as part of the Character Pass for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch or Steam.

Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions released on the various platforms during August of last year, so you might have missed noticing it until just now. It's an arcade soccer game from Tamsoft, divided into "Episodes" that allow players to get to know a team of plucky soccer players with big championship dreams. As it is not exactly the first installment in the series, you probably already know whether or not you're interested. Are you?
