XSEED Games bringing two The Legend of Heroes ports west in 2019

Two JRPGs you may already own on PlayStation 3 are arriving soon on PlayStation 4, in special editions.

XEED Games announced today that it will publish The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel and The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel on PlayStation 4 in early 2019. The games will be available in "Decisive" and "Relentless" editions, respectively.

Originally released earlier this year in Japan, the two PlayStation 4 ports should represent the definitive releases on console in North America... at least until/if something happens on the unannounced PlayStation 5. But that is by no means guaranteed, so for now let us cherish the good news we do have.

Both games will be available in SteelBook cases, with musical selection CDs and trinkets. The first Legend of Heroes comes with a "50 Mira replica Collector's Coin," while the second one includes the "Ouroboros Emblem Pin."

XSEED Games mentioned the two titles include dual voiceovers for the first time in franchise history, including the option to play with more than 5000 additional English lines per game that were previously only available in their localized PC releases. If you already own the PC versions of the game, by the way, here's some good news: the original Japanese voices are headed your way as a free patch at some point down the road.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel and The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel will be available for $49.99 USD apiece, and pre-order campaigns should commence soon in cooperation with your favorite online retailers.
