Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition will launch on January 11, 2019, Bandai Namco announced today in a press release. It will be available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

Originally developed and released on Xbox 360 just over 10 years ago, Tales of Vesperia remains one of the more popular installments in the kind-of-sort-of-niche franchise. The game did see a PS3 release in Japan, but remained exclusive to Xbox 360 here in the west.

On newer consoles and PC, Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition boasts upscaled resolution, along with the appearance of characters, events and other content never previously released outside Japan.

Besides announcing the firm release date, Bandai Namco revealed an "anniversary bundle" it will make available, which includes collectibles featuring Yuri Lowell, Patty Fleur, Flynn Scifo, and Repede. They will be available for the console versions of the game, but only through Bandai Namco's official online store.

Despite not technically being new, Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition is one of the titles I am looking forward to most in early 2019. Are you ready to play through the action-RPG a second time, or perhaps to finally experience it a first time?
