Shenmue I & II has arrived in stores, SEGA announced today. The compilation collects the first two titles in the beloved franchise, and is available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

SEGA calls Shenmue I & II the "definitive version" of the classic titles. It retains the original features, including jujitsu combat, investigative sleuthing, real-time open worlds, RPG elements and mini-games. In other words, you'll totally be able to drive a forklift again.

Of course, the release also includes a variety of upgrades. The user interface and controls have been enhanced, and you can play with either Japanese or English voiceovers. The PC edition also offers scalable screen resolution and PC graphics options.

"SEGA Europe has wanted to re-release the Shenmue series for such a long time and thanks to tireless work behind the scenes, it is our pleasure to bring these games back, laden with accolades as one of the greatest gaming series of all time, for gamers of all generations," said John Clark, Executive Vice President of Publishing at SEGA Europe. "We can't wait for gamers to jump into this piece of gaming history and experience the magic of Shenmue I & II for themselves."

The timing is indeed right, as Shenmue III is currently in development for release next year. And the price is right, too; the compilation retails for $29.99 USD in North America. This could be your best chance to see what people have been talking about all these years.
