Sonic 4 Episode 2 details and screens surface with XBLM listing
This probably isn't how Sega planned to show the game off for the first time, but details for Episode 2 of Sonic the Hedgehog 4 have quietly appeared in an Xbox Live Marketplace listing for the game.

We already knew about the inclusion of Tails thanks to the teaser trailer (the only Episode 2 media available before now). It's probably no surprise to learn that Episode 2 will use the character to introduce a new online and offline co-op mode. The game uses a different physics engine from its prequel and looks noticeably prettier to boot. Like Episode 1, Episode 2 will feature four new zones, and new special stages that seem to be inspired by the ones found in Sonic the Hedgehog 2.
There's still no announced release date, but at least now we have screenshots. Sonic 4 Episode 2 launches on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Steam, and iOS (but not Wii) some time this year.
