At least that's what I'm seeing....

Not to mention the previous six movies. I almost wrote that last sentence in the header, but even that would have been a spoiler in itself.
Super brief review: it was fun, even if it was a bumpy ride sometimes. The first 10, 15 minutes alone destroy the prequel trilogy. Maybe I'll go into detail in a later blog entry.
.............
Well, since I obviously want to talk about the new 007 film so badly, the movie section comes first!
-MOVIES-
Spectre (spoilers, spoilers everywhere): While I wasn't exactly hyped for the film... mainly because I forgot it was coming out this weekend, I thought it could have been a fun watch in the theaters, especially since Sam Mendes returns as director. As I was sitting in the theater watching the movie, and before the credits sequence popped up, I started feeling as if something was off. The opening sequence started off promising with an impressive continuous shot, but it quickly devolved into a nonsensical, weirdly-directed helicopter fight with a flaccid climax. I let it slide, though, thinking they can't possibly all be impressive openers.
Seems like I do this almost once a month. Unintentional!

Guess.
-GAME-
The Phantom Pain: In the comment section of my MGSV Spoiler blog entry, I implied I was getting ready to write a MGSV: TPP review. That was a week ago. I've only written one paragraph. I know what I want to write.... it's just that I can't keep away from the game long enough to write more, and whenever I'm actually in the mood, I either have to go to work or sleep.
At the very least, I'm mainly writing this very brief blog entry to push myself into actually finishing the rest of the review before October begins. DO IT!

Huey, you are the ABSOLUTE WORST.
Also, you managed to get the "coldest" person in Peace Walker to open up and fall for you.... and then you do that to her here?!
I also really, really wanted to smack the hell out of you after your holier than thou performance while I was shooting my own soldiers in their heads. Really? Coming from the guy who makes KILLER ROBOTS??
I think you might be the first and only person in the Metal Gear franchise that I am genuinely infuriated with. At best, I've only been irritated with certain other characters.

-GAMES-
Just Cause 1 & 2: With both Mad Max and Just Cause 3 out within months from one another, I figured now would be an appropriate time to play Just Cause 1 & 2 for the first time. Yup, never played them. When it comes to video game sequels and franchises, I'm the kind of guy that likes to compare, and while I likely won't play Mad Max right away, I just don't feel comfortable jumping into Just Cause 3 without some firsthand knowledge.
They're being played.
Not much in this entry, too. More like a debriefing.
-GAMES-
Zombie Army Trilogy: After writing my previous entry on how this review was taking a bit of a toll on me, I actually put the review on hiatus for about four days to play a little longer. At that point in time, I spent a little over 2 weeks with the game, but even seven paragraphs deep into a review, I still felt uncomfortable finishing it without a final push that involved poking in certain corners of its difficulty settings.
