Tales of Hearts R teaser site now open

Still no news on a release outside of Japan

It was only last week that Namco Bandai announced Tales of Hearts R, a PlayStation Vita remake of the Nintendo DS RPG Tales of Hearts. Now the official teaser site has opened to offer a... well, teasing look at the game.

There isn’t a great deal of information on the site, but some details have made themselves known. The game is already 50% complete. Battles now take place in 3D, and a new mechanic called the Chase Link system has been added, which allows you to ‘chase’ an enemy after an attack to inflict further damage.

True to form Japanese gaming bible Famitsu has got its hands on the first batch of screenshots, which better show off the 3D visuals.

Tales of Hearts was originally released on the Nintendo DS, and follows protagonist Shing as he battles a despair sickness which has spread across his world, and the monsters that feed from it. The game was not released outside of Japan, and for the moment Tales of Hearts R on PlayStation Vita only has a Japanese release window: Spring 2013.
