Having finally played and completed Final Fantasy X-2 after all these years, I find that it is neither as bad as its detractors have painted it, nor is it as good as its fanbase says it is. It's not as good as its predecessor, but it's far from being the worst entry in the series, as some would have you believe.

It's one thing for some random fan to come up with a particularly interesting mod. It's yet another for a game's lead designer to make one, putting it out for all to use, free of charge. Joshua Sawyer, lead designer of Fallout: New Vegas, has done just that.

In a recent interview, Sega Brand Manager Ken Balough teased some of what the Sonic fanbase can expect from the next episode of Sonic 4. Among other things, it was revealed that the digitally distributed successor to the Genesis-era Sonic the Hedgehog titles would allow Tails to join Sonic in his adventure.

If there's one thing gamers love, besides video games that is, it is merchandise. Special editions of games come with all sorts of silly bonuses for those willing to pay a little extra, from Halo 3's Master Chief helmet to Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword's golden Wii remote. Konami, never one to turn down more money, contributes to this in its own way with a special hardware bundle for Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D.

According to a report from Nikkei, Nintendo may be bringing paid DLC to the 3DS as soon as March. The first game that will be able to take advantage of this will be the 3DS Fire Emblem game, Fire Emblem Kakusei. Fire Emblem: Awakening is a translation of the title.

Gungnir, a strategy RPG from developer Sting, is making its way to US audiences next summer. More specifically, Atlus will be bringing it to North America June 12th of the coming year.

The next entry in EA Sports' SSX franchise, simply titled SSX, will be tricking onto store shelves a couple weeks later than planned. Originally scheduled for a Valentine's Day release, the game will be released on February 28th in North America and March 2nd in Europe.

Kingdom Hearts 3D, also known as Kingdom Hearts [Dream Drop Distance], is set to be the next major release in the Kingdom Hearts series. It continues the plot from where it left off in Kingdom Hearts 2 and is scheduled to release in March in Japan. However, only now has Square Enix confirmed a release date for North America and Europe. That release date is... 2012.

Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D is a complete 3DS remake of Metal Gear Solid 3, and there have already been several announcements as to changes the game has gone through to better take advantage of the hardware. Should the info on one Japanese site selling the game prove accurate, there's even more yet to be announced.

Army Corps of Hell, best described as a demon-infested take on Pikmin, has just released in Japan alongside the Vita. In a recent announcement by Square Enix, it was revealed that, like its Japanese release, Army Corps of Hell would be releasing at the same time as the Vita in the US.

Anarchy Reigns, the online brawler from PlatinumGames and SEGA, has hit a bit of a snag and won't be arriving quite as soon as originally anticipated. Originally planned to release in January, it will now be arriving on PS3 and Xbox 360 in July of 2012.

Capcom's brought a lot of games to Xbox Live, many of them remakes of gaming classics from the company's past. However, they've released so many that getting all of them would be an expensive ordeal. Thankfully, Capcom will be lowering that bar of entry with the upcoming Capcom Digital Collection, which will put eight of their Xbox Live games onto a single disc for a comparatively low $39.99.

Fans of rhythm games have a reason to keep their Wii around with revelation that Rhythm Heaven Fever, formerly known as Rhythm Heaven Wii, is only two months away. However, the new February 13th release date isn't the only thing Nintendo announced about the game. It will be releasing at a special budget price, too.

Recently announced at Spike TV's Video Game Awards, The Last of Us is the next big game from Naughty Dog, creators of the Uncharted franchise. From the trailer, not much could be gleaned but that it was about a man and a young girl trying to survive in a post-apocalyptic world. However, Sony has released a bit more info that some may find of interest.

Stranger's Wrath, the Xbox's Oddworld-based action adventure, released to critical acclaim in 2005, with many praising its innovation and graphics. By today's standards though, those graphics are a bit... ugly. After being announced in 2010, an updated version of the game, with HD textures and more, will finally be released on the Playstation Network on December 27th.

Orcs Must Die! was a unique blend of third-person action and tower defense and a delightful experience for those who played it. Though the PC version of the game has had DLC for some time now, it won't be until later this December that Xbox 360 owners will finally get a taste of Orcs Must Die's "Lost Adventures" DLC.
