About Me: Sorry, but I haven't yet shared the information about myself that would typically display here. Check back later to see if that changes, or if I instead choose to remain an enigma. |
I finally got a bug up my ass over the weekend and submitted reviews for Final Fantasy III and Front Mission, both for DS (and both were released for older consoles a long time ago, coincidentally enough). I know the reviews kind of suck, but hopefully I will improve if I keep writing again.
That makes 450 reviews, though. Wow.
Has anyone played this game? It is one hell of an incredible game, in my opinion. I am personally biased against LOTR stuff, since the movies are like 3 hours long each and I don't have the patience to watch that kind of fantasy movie for that long.
However, this is more than a LOTR game. I skip all the LOTR movie cutscenes throughout, and I get a basic easy to follow storyline that involve apparently minor characters from the movies. Good enough.
After not playing any games for 9 days or so, I just played Final Fantasy 2 for 7 hours straight.
Sometimes, linear RPGs are what I crave.
Castlevania Harmony of Dissonance has to be the worst Metroidvania BY FAR. I'd give it a 3 if I could beat it, unfortunately..
Okay, I've been playing this game almost all day, and I am up to the part where I just beat Max Slimer and Death told me about the 2nd castle. Now, he went into the teleporter thing and it locked up behind him, and I can't seem to get in it. I've pushed up at it countless times and it just remains locked.
Yes, 78.3% done and I'm stuck in some obscure place that I can't figure out why.
Fuck this piece of shit game.
How come the screen stretches way across? It's hard to explain but imagine a FAQ with no line breaks and thats what I get when I access the HG Blogs page all the time.
I am using Safari for Mac, but Firefox does the same thing.
I used to be able to play games for HOURS, but lately it seems I have the attention span of a cockroach.
Playing a game for an hour in a row is considered an achievement for me. Xenosaga Episode 1 is the only game in a long time to really hook me.
Even games like FF12 and Tales of the Abyss failed to keep my attention for long periods of time.
Lately though, besides Xenosaga, I've been playing Seiken 3 for hours on end, and last night I started Suikoden and played it for 2 hours straight.
Anyone else go through gaming withdrawls and find it hard for games to hook them?
I really haven't played too many Game Boy and Genesis games, so if anyone has any ideas for good games, let me know.
I'm especially interested in RPGs and shooters, and chances are I know the big name titles, so if anyone has any underrated essential games (like I hear Gaiares or whatever for Genesis rocks), please tell me.
