O = Obscure: The Aftermath
Now that's taken care of, what will be next? Good question, as per the norm, I'm muddling through several different games as opposed to actually playing one (or two at the most) with anything resembling focus.
So it could be:
Resident Evil 4
Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening, Oracle of Ages or Oracle of Seasons (yes, I am simultaneously playing all three)
Fire Emblem
Emerald Dragon
A special surprise (ie: a quicky shooter or platformer review cranked out for a game I busted through in a couple of hours cuz I didn't want to play any of the main projects)!

To be honest, with the Oracle games, I'm in "OD Obsessive" mode. I'm both doing Seasons then Ages and Ages then Season simultaneously. In the A/S trip, I'm through two dungeons in ages and in the S/A trip, I just did the fifth dungeon today.
Be interesting as to how I review them. I've played more of Seasons and love most of it, but that fight with Digdogger was horribly executed. And the spiky cat miniboss of that dungeon was pretty lame, too. On the other hand, they actually made it possible to look at a fight with Aquamentus as something more than the easiest thing you've ever accomplished in your life. And I liked the game's takes on Gohma and Dodongo, too. And the dungeons are fun. Oh, and I love the nostalgia factor with so many bosses being new versions of classic LoZ bosses.
Ages is better overworld-wise. It's cooler having two similar, but different, worlds than one world where you change the seasons to make subtle, but necessary, differences in most screens. And Veran seems to be a villain more actively involved in the plot than Onox is, as I've seen her more through two dungeons than I've seen him through five. However, the Thwomp King boss was one of the worst ones EVER in a Zelda game, if not the worst. It's near impossible for him to hit you and it takes pure luck for you to damage him. And with the only impressive big baddie I've seen so far being the L2 mini-boss, I'm worried that the main fights are going to pale compared to getting to them. There are actual challenging puzzles, though, which makes the dungeons here awesome, at least up to boss fights.
