Digerati announced today that it is bringing Nefarious to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One later this year. The game will arrive on September 13, September 11/12 and September 14, respectively.

Nefarious is a platformer that lets you by the (super)villain, a fellow named Crow who dreams of world domination. Your first step is to gather up damsels so you can power your death ray, the Doom Howitzer. It sounds like the sort of thing our very own Gary Hartley might like, and the truth is that he totally did when the game launched early last year.

Here are some key features to enjoy, straight from today's press release:
  • You’re the villain! Kidnap princesses! Take over the world!

  • Lovingly crafted 2D animation and illustrated backdrops

  • Reverse boss battles let you fight against the hero

  • Globe hop between five different kingdoms

  • Unlock different ammo types for your grenade launcher

  • Mix and match customization options for your explosive punches

  • Uncover mysteries to unlock a secret ending!

  • Story that spoofs the video game trope of princess kidnapping

  • Platinum Trophy and 1000G Achievements available respectively for PS4 and Xbox One versions
Nefarious looks like it will cost about $14.99 USD on the various platforms, though there's currently a 10% discount available if you pre-order the Xbox One version. As if you would do such a thing. Obviously, the game is best suited for the Switch, so you can take your plans for domination on the go...
