Dragon Age 3: Inquisition in development for "almost 2 years now"

Will the number of years it has been in development change according to the storyteller too?

The copyedited version follows...

---

Earlier today, Mark Darrah, executive producer for Bioware, announced that the company is "working on the next Dragon Age game, Dragon Age III: Inquisition." In fact, according to EA Montreal and Edmonton General Manager Aaryn Flynn, "The Dragon Age team has been working on Dragon Age 3: Inquisition for almost two years now." The press release was unconventionally placed on the front page of the Dragon Age website and can be found here.

Dragon Age III: Inquisition asset

The only details confirmed at the moment are that it will be called Dragon Age III: Inquisition. It will be made by the same folks who have been working on Dragon Age since the beginning, and they will be utilizing DICE's Frostbite 2 game engine to deliver, "a more expansive world, better visuals, more reactivity to player choices, and more customization."

The Frostbite 2 engine premiered with Battlefield 3 and offers the ability for game developers to use Direct X 11 and 64-bit processors in ways they could not before. In addition, this engine offers a variety of new functions that typically involve destruction within a game environment during gameplay.

Darrah finished saying, "There's much more to talk about, of course, but it will have to wait until it's ready for the prime time."

No systems were mentioned in this "press release" but I have taken a liberty of listing it as an Xbox 360 title. When the full line of systems for which it is in development are announced, we'll adjust our records accordingly.
