Harmonix heard the complaints on Facebook, Twitter -- heck, probably in our own review -- about Rock Band Blitz's coin economy, and the developer today deployed some changes to it to help appease its players.
A server-side change (meaning no patch is required) went live today that decreases the cost for power-ups (making a full loadout cost 550 points instead of 750), awards 100 coins per star achieved per song, and gives winners of Score Wars 1,500 coins (and losers 500). How's that for a stimulus package?
Of course, you can still earn even more coins via Rock Band World, Harmonix's Facebook hub for all things Rock Band.
But just in case this still doesn't help get middle class Blitzers some more coins in their pockets, Harmonix said it will continue monitoring fan feedback in the coming weeks in the case some more cuts, breaks and/or stimulation are needed.
