Metal Gear Rising for PC will be 'contemplated' after console release
We won't see a PC version -- if there ever is one -- until after Feb. 2013.
Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, the action-heavy project developed by Platinum Games and Kojima Productions, was set for a Feb. 19, 2013 release last week during Gamescom. That's Feb. 19 for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of the game, though.
A PC version? Well, I'll let Yuji Korekado, Kojima Productions' creative producer, handle that.
"Right now, honestly, we are doing our best to complete at the same time the PlayStation 3 version and the Xbox 360 version," he said to Eurogamer. "For the PC version, we will contemplate making it or not once we reach this goal of completing the PS3 and 360 versions."
Of course, the question of demand is an important one for Konami and co. to consider, a point Korekado mentioned. When told by Eurogamer that digital titles sold on Steam can become very popular, he added:
"Then, with that in consideration, we will try to look forward in this direction."
Of course, if considerations must still be made, we won't be seeing a PC version of the title -- if there ever is one -- in February 2013.
